Getting started with StackFit

Create your first project

Once your account is created on Stackfit, you can create your first project. For this, you will need the following information:

  • Address of the project
  • Name of the project
  • Number of floors: you can indicate here only the floors that will be used by your company.
  • Net usable area per floor: this is the surface area actually available for the layout of work spaces (offices, meeting rooms, open space, etc.), excluding common areas (circulations, sanitary facilities, technical ducts, stairs, elevators, halls, etc.).
  • Maximum capacity per floor: this is the number of people authorized simultaneously on a floor, as defined in the building's fire safety notice. This regulatory data allows the tenant to know the occupancy limit to respect. In space planning, this implies not planning a number of workstations greater than this maximum capacity, in order to ensure compliance with safety and evacuation standards. This information is generally provided by your broker.

Net Usable Area

The Net Usable Area (N.U.A.) corresponds to the surface area actually usable for the layout of work spaces. It is obtained by subtracting from the gross usable area all surfaces dedicated to common areas, non-shared technical rooms, horizontal circulations (such as corridors, elevator or stair landings, airlocks), as well as social and sanitary facilities.

Gross Usable Area

The Gross Usable Area (G.U.A.) corresponds to the horizontal surface measured inside the premises, after deduction of structural elements such as exterior walls, columns, partitions, technical ducts and vertical circulations (stairs, elevators). It also excludes technical rooms located outside attics and basements (heating, ventilation, electrical room, telecom room), except those specifically allocated for the exclusive use of a tenant, such as a computer room.
